Description: This object specifies the number of dropped messages by WDS because of Message Integrity Check (MIC) failure before sending the messages to Wireless Network Manger. Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the WDS, and at other times as indicated by the value of cwdsiWnmDiscontinuityTime.
What is cwdsiWnmDropMicTxMsgCount?
This read-only Counter32 counts the number of outbound messages the WDS dropped due to a Message Integrity Check (MIC) failure before they could be sent to the Wireless Network Manager. An admin monitors this as a signal of a security or integrity problem in the WDS-to-WNM messaging path. For example, a rising cwdsiWnmDropMicTxMsgCount would prompt an admin to suspect key mismatch or tampering issues affecting the WDS-WNM channel.
