This counter reports the number of Message Integrity Check (MIC) failures the WDS has detected on frames from wireless clients. A climbing value means frames are failing the cryptographic integrity check, which can indicate a key mismatch or, in some cases, an active MIC-failure countermeasure attack. For example, a spike in cwdsiMicFailureCount right after enabling WPA/TKIP on a set of access points would tell an admin to check for a keying problem rather than assume the wireless hardware is faulty; like the other WDS counters it resets when the WDS reinitializes.
