Description: This object indicates the LCP link status. LCP is a communication protocol between WDS residing on WLSM and L3MM on RP to provide L3MM with up-to-date information about current location of Mobile Node and also to propagate tunnel end point and other configuration information from RP to WDS/AP. down(1) - The LCP link status is down, up(2) - The LCP link status is up, inTransition(3) - The LCP link status is in transition from up(2) to down(1) or from down(1) to up(2).
What is cwdsiLcpStatus?
This object reports the current status of the Link Control Protocol (LCP) session that carries mobility and tunnel-configuration information between the WDS on the WLSM and the L3MM on the RP, as down, up, or inTransition. An admin cares because LCP being down means the WDS cannot receive up-to-date Mobile Node location or tunnel endpoint information from the RP, breaking mobility services even if the wireless side looks healthy. For example, if roaming mobile nodes suddenly stop being tracked correctly, checking cwdsiLcpStatus for a value of down(1) would point to a lost WDS-to-RP control link rather than an RF problem.
