Description: Timer started when RESTART message sent Restart Request State. Normally, timer is stopped when RESTART ACK message is received. RESTART may be sent multiple times in both first or second expiry.
What is cwspSigCfgT316?
This writable value configures, in seconds, ATM signaling timer T316, which starts when a RESTART message is sent in the Restart Request state and is normally stopped upon receiving RESTART ACK, with RESTART potentially resent on either the first or second expiry. It lets an admin control how persistently the switch retries a link/interface restart procedure that isn't being acknowledged. For example, an admin recovering an interface from a signaling fault would rely on this timer's retries to make sure the RESTART handshake eventually completes.
