This read-only value reports the physical slot location of the PNNI controller on an MGX or BPX-SES chassis, and like the related controller-status object it is only meaningful as a trap varbind, not through a direct SNMP get. It lets an admin's trap handler pinpoint exactly which physical card in the chassis a PNNI controller event refers to. For example, a controller-failure trap carrying this slot number would let field staff go straight to the correct card slot instead of searching the whole chassis.
