ciscoWANPnniLinkStatus

Module: CISCO-WAN-SVC-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-SVC-MIB::ciscoWANPnniLinkStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.140.1.3.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates the status of a link has changed: 1 - the link entered the 2-Way Inside state, 2 - the link exit the 2-Way Inside state, 3 - the link entered the 2-Way Outside state, 4 - the link exit the 2-Way Outside state. 5 - the link entered the Common Outside state, or 6 - the link exit the Common Outside state and entered the 1-Way Outside state.

What is ciscoWANPnniLinkStatus?

This read-only INTEGER indicates that the status of a PNNI link has changed among six states: entering or exiting the 2-Way Inside state (1,2), entering or exiting the 2-Way Outside state (3,4), or entering the Common Outside state or exiting it into 1-Way Outside (5,6). An administrator monitors this to track the PNNI hello-protocol progression of a link toward full adjacency, since a link stuck outside the 2-Way Inside state cannot properly participate in the routing topology. For example, seeing ciscoWANPnniLinkStatus report value 4 (exit the 2-Way Outside state) for a link between two switches signals to an operator that PNNI adjacency on that link has degraded and topology exchange may be affected.
