This object configures the errored-seconds threshold for the current 15-minute interval on the SONET line layer, above which an alarm is generated, and the MIB notes this threshold applies equally to both Far End and Near End measurements. An administrator uses this to decide how many errored seconds within a 15-minute window on the line layer should be treated as abnormal, whether the errors are being measured locally or reported from the far end. For example, setting this to 5 would raise an alarm if either the near-end or far-end errored-seconds count on the line exceeds 5 within the current 15-minute window.
