vismLapdTrunkType

Module: CISCO-WAN-LAPD-TRUNK-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-LAPD-TRUNK-MIB::vismLapdTrunkType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.12.1.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This object indicates if the line is configured for Trunking or PRI Backhaul. This object is set to the appropriate type when the vismRudpSessionType (defined in CISCO-VISM-SESSION-MIB MIB) parameter in the vismRudpSessionCnfEntry(specify in the same MIB) table is set. The motivation to have similar such objects at two places is for convenience.

What is vismLapdTrunkType?

This read-only INTEGER reports whether the line is configured as backhaul(1) or lapdTrunking(2), and the description notes this value is automatically set based on the vismRudpSessionType parameter in the CISCO-VISM-SESSION-MIB, kept here in parallel for convenience. An admin reads this object to quickly confirm how a given LAPD-over-RUDP line is being used without having to cross-reference the session MIB. If an admin expected a line to show lapdTrunking(2) but finds backhaul(1), that mismatch points back to how the corresponding RUDP session type was actually configured.
