What is vismLapdRxUnumInfoFrames?
This counter object tracks the cumulative number of Unnumbered Information frames received on a LAPD (Link Access Procedure D-channel) trunk interface in VISM (Voice Interworking Services Module) equipment. LAPD is the data-link layer protocol used for signaling in narrowband ISDN and digital phone systems. Network managers monitor this counter to verify LAPD frame reception and detect communication problems on voice signaling channels.
