This read-only Counter tallies the number of bytes transmitted that were DE-tagged at the far end's ingress because they exceeded that end's CIR, the byte-volume counterpart to xmtFramesTaggedDE. An administrator uses it to quantify, in byte volume, how much traffic the remote ingress point is marking DE for exceeding its own CIR. For example, a sustained rise in xmtBytesTaggedDE would suggest the remote end's ingress traffic is consistently and substantially over its committed rate.
