What is xmtBytes?
This read-only Counter tallies the total number of bytes transmitted by the connection. An administrator monitors it to measure actual egress throughput in bytes, complementing the frame-count view given by xmtFrames. For example, a channel's xmtBytes climbing much faster than its xmtFrames would indicate that transmitted frames are, on average, growing larger.
