Description: This variable represents the loopback state x21NoLoop Not in the loopback state. Normal traffic can be sent x21DiagnosticMetallicLoop Loopbacks the line on the back-card towards the Network. x21DiagnosticFrontcardLoop Loopbacks the line on the frontcard toward the Network. x21RemoteLoop The remote NTU is in the loop back mode. In this state, the FRSM-HS1 is sending the loopback code to remote NTU. Default is x21NoLoop. Note: Before going into one of the loopbacks the state should be x21NoLoop.
What is x21LineLoopbackCommand?
This read-write object sets the loopback state of the line, with options including no loopback, a diagnostic loop on the backcard toward the network, a diagnostic loop on the frontcard toward the network, or a remote loop where the far-end NTU is looped, defaulting to no loop. An administrator sets it to isolate a fault to a specific segment of the circuit during troubleshooting. For example, to determine whether a fault lies in the local hardware or the remote NTU, an engineer would first apply a frontcard loop, then a remote loop, comparing results.
