This read-only Counter tallies the total number of frames received on the ingress side of this logical port, aggregating traffic across all channels riding on that port rather than reporting per-channel like rcvFrames does. An administrator monitors this port-level counter to see overall ingress load on the port as a whole, complementing the per-channel rcvFrames counters. For example, a port whose rcvPortFrames grows much faster than the sum of its individual channels' rcvFrames counters would suggest unaccounted-for traffic, such as frames destined for an unrecognized DLCI, on that port.
