An administrator uses this to see how many frames on this channel this switch itself decided to mark expendable, typically because they exceeded the committed rate contract. For example, a rising rcvFramesTaggedDE count alongside heavy traffic on a channel would indicate this device is now regularly marking excess frames DE as that channel's traffic exceeds its committed rate.
