Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::portFlagsBetweenFrames
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.1.1.1.1.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Number of flags transmitted between FR frames For FRSM12 card: Only the values 1 to 8 are supported. The mapping is as follows: MIB object value No. of HDLC flags inserted 1 1 2 2 3 4 4 8 5 16 6 32 7 64 8 128
What is portFlagsBetweenFrames?
This read-write integer (1..10) sets the number of HDLC flag characters transmitted between Frame Relay frames on the port; on FRSM12, only values 1 through 8 are supported, mapping to 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, and 128 actual HDLC flags inserted respectively. An administrator adjusts this to control inter-frame gap padding, which can matter for interoperability with certain far-end equipment or for filling otherwise idle line time. For example, setting portFlagsBetweenFrames to 8 on an FRSM12 port results in 128 actual HDLC flags being inserted between frames, versus just a single flag if the object were set to 1.
