Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::portEnhancedSIW

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.1.1.1.1.1.22

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This variable enables/disables enhanced SIW feature. Enabling this permits support for SIW translation of Appletalk. This feature is currently supported only in the FRSM-VHS card.

For FRSM12 card: Not Supported This object is not required in FRSM12 since Appletalk is supported by default in FRF.8.1 and FRSM12 supports FRF.8.1

What is portEnhancedSIW?

This read-write enumeration (disable(1), enable(2)) enables an enhanced Service Interworking feature that permits SIW translation of AppleTalk traffic, a capability currently supported only on the FRSM-VHS card; it is not needed on FRSM12 because FRF.8.1, which FRSM12 supports by default, already includes AppleTalk support. An administrator enables this specifically on FRSM-VHS ports carrying AppleTalk traffic across a service-interworking boundary. For example, an FRSM-VHS port carrying legacy AppleTalk traffic through SIW would need portEnhancedSIW enabled, whereas the same functional need on an FRSM12 port requires no such setting since it's covered by that card's default FRF.8.1 support.
