An administrator relies on this as a QoS ceiling that PAR's routing engine respects when routing VAD-enabled voice connections, avoiding paths whose delay would exceed acceptable call-quality limits. For example, a voice connection that could only be routed over a path exceeding parSysParmsMaxVDelay would instead fail to route, prompting the operator to investigate alternate paths or trunk upgrades.
