An administrator uses this local-delay ceiling for high-speed data traffic in general, distinct from the CDP-specific local delay ceiling in parSysParmsMaxIpcdpHsdDelay, to isolate this node's own contribution to total delay for ordinary high-speed data connections. For example, comparing this against the network-wide high-speed data ceiling in parSysParmsMaxHsdDelay shows how much of the overall delay budget this particular node is allowed to consume.
