Description: This object specifies the maximum size (in bytes) of the segment into which the topology message, sent during network join, is divided.

What is parNetParmTopoMsgSegSz?

This read-write INTEGER specifies the maximum size, in bytes, of the segments into which the topology message sent during network join is divided. An administrator uses this to control fragmentation of the full-topology message a node sends or receives when it joins the network, which can be a large message on bigger networks. For example, a smaller segment size means the topology message is broken into more, smaller pieces during a node's network join process, which can help on links with tighter message-size constraints.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.130.5.7.18
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::parNetParmTopoMsgSegSz

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.130.5.7.18.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::parNetParmTopoMsgSegSz.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.130.5.7.18.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> parNetParmTopoMsgSegSz.1
