Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::mir
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.19
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The dafault is 160 mir is defined in fastpackets/sec and it defines minimum information rate for Foresight. 1 cell/sec is equal to 16 fastpackets/sec. Following information about cps is for reference only: The peak value for qir in FRSM-VHS cards is 285714 cps and for all other cards, it is 10000 cps. For FRSM-VHS cards, cell will be the ATM cell (48 byte payload).
For FRSM12 Card: Not Supported
What is mir?
This read-write integer sets the Minimum Information Rate (mir) in fastpackets per second for ForeSight rate control, defaulting to 160, with the same 16 fastpackets-per-cell conversion and the same 285,714 cps (FRSM-VHS) versus 10,000 cps (other cards) peak; it is not supported on FRSM12. An administrator configures mir as the floor rate ForeSight will never throttle a source below, guaranteeing a minimum throughput even under congestion. For example, raising mir on a ForeSight-enabled connection ensures the source keeps sending at least that fastpacket rate even when qir-level backoff would otherwise apply.
