Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Initial Cell Rate is the rate at which the source should send initially and after an idle period. This includes the bandwidth allocated for both data cells as well as all in-rate RM cells. Unit is cells/sec. The Range will be 10 to 400000. .

What is frstdABRICR?

This read-write integer (10..400000) is the Initial Cell Rate for a standard-ABR source, the rate in cells per second at which it should send initially and after any idle period, including both data cells and any in-rate RM cells. An administrator sets ICR to control the burst rate a source uses right when it starts or resumes sending, before the ABR feedback loop has adjusted its rate further. For example, setting frstdABRICR to a low value near the 10 cps floor would make a resuming source ramp up very conservatively compared to setting it near the 400,000 cps ceiling.
