This read-write integer (1..15) is used by the PXM to weigh how important this connection is when selecting which connections to route, presumably during rerouting or path-selection decisions under constrained network resources. An administrator raises this value on business-critical connections so the routing controller favors keeping or rerouting them ahead of lower-priority traffic. For example, setting frRoutingPriority to a high value on a mission-critical PVC would make the PXM more likely to preserve or successfully reroute that connection over a lower-priority one during a network topology change.
