frRemoteNSAP
Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::frRemoteNSAP
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.40
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-write
Description: This NSAP is 20 bytes binary, among these 20 bytes: 13 bytes as prefix, 2 bytes for Cisco ID, 1 byte rsvd, 3 bytes for logical interface: slot (1 byte) and port number (2 bytes), the last byte is for SEL
What is frRemoteNSAP?
This read-write 20-byte binary OCTET STRING is the remote NSAP address for the connection's far endpoint, using the same layout as frLocalNSAP: 13 bytes of prefix, 2 bytes of Cisco ID, 1 reserved byte, 3 bytes for slot and port, and a final SEL byte. An administrator configures this when manually setting up a connection to a specific remote switch and port rather than relying on automatic address resolution. For example, provisioning an spvc to a known remote slot/port would involve setting frRemoteNSAP's slot/port bytes to match that specific remote hardware location.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.40 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::frRemoteNSAP
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.40.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::frRemoteNSAP.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.40.1 s <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> frRemoteNSAP.1
