frConnRemotePCR

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::frConnRemotePCR

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.48

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Peak cell rate of the other end, if not set, will be set to the same as local end PCR (frConnPCR). However, note that if the CIRs for both local and remote end are set to the different value (i.e., asymmetric conn), then this should be set differently from local end PCR. For FRSM12 Card: Default value is frConnPCR

What is frConnRemotePCR?

This read-write integer is the Peak Cell Rate for the remote end of the connection, which defaults to the same value as the local end's frConnPCR unless explicitly set, but for an asymmetric connection where the local and remote CIRs differ, it should be configured to a different value from frConnPCR. An administrator sets this explicitly whenever the connection's two directions have deliberately different rate profiles. For example, provisioning an asymmetric connection where the near end has a much higher CIR than the far end would require setting frConnRemotePCR to a distinct, typically lower, value than frConnPCR.
