frConnRemoteMCR

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::frConnRemoteMCR

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.50

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Minimum cell rate of the other end, if not set, will be set to the same as local end MCR (frConnMCR). However, note that if the CIRs for both local and remote end are set to the different value (i.e., asymmetric conn), then this should be set differently from local end MCR. For FRSM12 Card: Default value is frConnMCR

What is frConnRemoteMCR?

This read-write integer is the Minimum Cell Rate for the remote end of the connection, defaulting to the same value as the local end's frConnMCR unless set explicitly, but requiring a distinct value on an asymmetric connection where local and remote CIRs differ. An administrator configures it explicitly whenever the two ends of a connection are provisioned with meaningfully different minimum-rate guarantees. For example, on an asymmetric PVC where the remote end has a lower CIR than the local end, frConnRemoteMCR should be set below frConnMCR to reflect the remote side's lower guaranteed rate.
