frConnRemoteMBS
Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::frConnRemoteMBS
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.71
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Remote Maximum Burst Size in terms of number of cells. This object should be set by the user in cases when the remote end of the connection is an ATM end-point where the Local MBS can be explicitly specified. In such cases, this element should be set to be equal to the remote end-point's local MBS.
This object is not applicable to MGX Release 1.x.
What is frConnRemoteMBS?
This read-write integer (1..5000000) is the remote Maximum Burst Size in cells, which should be set when the remote end of the connection is an ATM end-point that supports explicitly specifying its own local MBS, in which case this object should be set to match that remote endpoint's local MBS value; it does not apply to MGX Release 1.x. An administrator configures this to align the local switch's understanding of the remote end's burst tolerance with what the remote ATM device actually enforces. For example, if the remote ATM endpoint's own local MBS is configured as 50,000 cells, frConnRemoteMBS on this switch should also be set to 50,000 to match.
