What is frChanUpcEnable?
This read-write enumeration (enable(1), disable(2)), added for the FRSM12 card, controls Frame Relay policing on the connection; disabling it turns off UPC/policing entirely for that channel, and it does not apply to MGX Release 1.x. An administrator disables this on a connection where policing enforcement needs to be temporarily suspended, such as during a controlled test of oversubscribed traffic. For example, disabling frChanUpcEnable on an FRSM12 channel would allow that connection's traffic to pass without being policed against its CIR/EIR contract, unlike a channel where policing remains enabled.
