An administrator disables stats collection on lower-priority connections to conserve the card's limited statistics-tracking capacity for the connections that matter most. For example, on an FRSM12 card nearing its statistics-capacity limit, an administrator could disable frChanStatsEnable on non-critical connections to free up tracking resources for higher-priority ones.
