Description: This object is added for FRSM12 card. This object indicates whether a master endpoint has a persistent slave or not. A connection with a master and a non-persistent slave is considered a single-ended SPVC.
This object is only meaningful when 'frMastership' contains the value of 'master(1)'. And this variable must be used with 'frMastership' to decide if a connection is single-ended or not.
This object is not applicable to MGX Release 1.x.
What is frChanSlaveType?
This read-write enumeration (persistentSlave(1), nonPersistentSlave(2)), added for the FRSM12 card, indicates whether a master endpoint (per frMastership) has a persistent slave or not, with a master paired to a non-persistent slave being considered a single-ended SPVC; it is meaningful only when frMastership on the same connection is set to master(1), and does not apply to MGX Release 1.x. An administrator reads or sets this together with frMastership to correctly classify whether the connection is a full two-ended SPVC or a single-ended one. For example, an FRSM12 endpoint with frMastership set to master and frChanSlaveType set to nonPersistentSlave indicates that connection is a single-ended SPVC rather than a fully paired connection.
