Description: The default value is 2. This variable enables DE tagging in the ingress direction only. enable = 1 disable = 2 For FRSM12 Card: When this object is disabled, the ingress policer will never set the DE bit to 1 in the Frame Relay frames even if the incoming frame exceeds the Bc bucket.
What is deTaggingEnable?
This read-write enumeration (enable/disable, default disable) controls whether the ingress policer is permitted to set the Discard Eligible (DE) bit on Frame Relay frames that exceed the committed burst (Bc) allowance. When disabled on an FRSM12 card, the policer never marks DE=1 even if an incoming frame overruns the Bc bucket, meaning excess traffic is not flagged for preferential dropping downstream. For example, an administrator troubleshooting unexpected frame loss on an FRSM12 channel might set deTaggingEnable to disable to confirm that DE-tagging, rather than some other mechanism, is causing frames to be marked and later discarded.
