What is chanClrButton?
This read-write enumeration (noaction(1), clear(2)) is an action object that, when set to clear(2), resets the channel's traffic counters back to zero. An administrator uses this after resolving a known issue, or before starting a controlled test, to get a clean baseline for the channel's various rcv/xmt counters going forward. For example, after fixing a CRC-related cabling issue on a channel, an engineer would set chanClrButton to clear(2) so subsequent readings of counters like rcvFramesDiscCRCError start from zero rather than including the pre-fix error history.
