chanCLPtoDEmap

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::chanCLPtoDEmap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.28

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: sets mapping of DE bit 1,2,3 valid for SIW 1,4 valid for NIW The CLP bit is mapped to DE bit in frame-relay in the Case of 2 and 3, the CLP bit is ignored and DE bit is set to a constant value ignoreCLP ignores CLP bit and DE bit remains as received. For FRSM12 Card: Should be ignoreCLP for chanType of frForward. Should not be setDEzero/setDEone for chanType of frNIW and frNIWReplace. Should not be ignoreCLP for chanType of frSIW-transparent and frSIW-translate.

What is chanCLPtoDEmap?

This read-write enumeration (mapDE(1), setDEzero(2), setDEone(3), ignoreCLP(4)) controls how the ATM CLP bit is translated back to the Frame Relay DE bit, with values 1-3 valid for SIW channels and 1 and 4 valid for NIW channels; on FRSM12 cards, frForward channels must use ignoreCLP and must not use setDEzero/setDEone. An administrator selects mapDE to have DE marking follow the incoming CLP bit, or ignoreCLP to leave the DE bit as received regardless of CLP. For example, on an FRSM12 channel of type frForward, chanCLPtoDEmap must be set to ignoreCLP rather than setDEzero, per the object's card-specific restriction.
