cesmConnFGCRAEnable

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesmConnFGCRAEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.46

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: enables/disables Frame based GCRA (early packet discard). This is not applicable to CESM-8T1/E1/T3/E3.

What is cesmConnFGCRAEnable?

This read-write value enables or disables Frame-based Generic Cell Rate Algorithm policing, which performs early packet discard at the frame level rather than the cell level, though it is not applicable to CESM-8T1/E1/T3/E3. An administrator on a card type where FGCRA applies would enable it to have the switch drop an entire non-conforming frame's worth of cells early rather than partially transmitting cells that will ultimately be incomplete at the far end. On CESM-8T1/E1/T3/E3 circuit-emulation channels, which don't carry frame-based traffic, this setting is not applicable.
