Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesmChanReroute

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.47

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This is used by the administrator to trigger the re-routing of the connection. The rerouting takes effect, when this object is set to true(1). When set to false (2), no action is taken. A get on this object always returns false (2). This object is not applicable to MGX Release 1.x.

What is cesmChanReroute?

This read-write value lets an administrator manually trigger PNNI/PXM to reroute this connection by setting it to true(1), while a get operation always reads back false(2) regardless of the connection's actual state, and the feature is not applicable to MGX Release 1.x. An administrator uses this to force a connection off a degraded or suboptimal path onto a fresh route without deleting and recreating the channel. For example, after noticing elevated cesChanRTDResult values suggesting a poor current path, an operator could set cesmChanReroute to true(1) to have the connection re-established along a better route.
