cesRemoteVci

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesRemoteVci

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.31

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This VCI together with the remote VPI and NSAP represents the remote end point in this connection. The value should be 0 for a DACS connection in MGX

What is cesRemoteVci?

This read-write value forms part of the remote end-point address for this connection alongside cesRemoteVpi and cesRemoteNSAP, and like cesRemoteVpi it should be set to 0 for a DACS connection within an MGX shelf rather than carrying a real remote VCI. An administrator setting up a connection to a genuinely remote ATM endpoint configures this to the actual VCI used at that far end. When the connection is instead a local cross-connect via DACS, leaving this at 0 correctly reflects that no true remote ATM addressing applies.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.31
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesRemoteVci

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.31.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesRemoteVci.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.31.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cesRemoteVci.1
