Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesMapPortNum
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: In case of CESM-4P this variable specifies the port number to which this channel is associated. Mappings are as - Port 1 - channel 16, 2-17, 3-18, 4-19 (it can take value from 1..4) In CESM-8 this variable gives mapping between logical channel and physical line number. In case of CESM-8P instead of this cesChanPortNum will be used to have the mapping between Channel and logical Port. In case of CESM-T3 it can be 1..1
What is cesMapPortNum?
This read-only value indicates which physical or logical port a given CES channel is mapped to, though its exact meaning differs by card: on CESM-4P it follows a fixed formula where port 1 maps to channel 16, port 2 to channel 17, and so on, while CESM-8P uses cesChanPortNum instead of this object for its channel-to-port mapping. An administrator on a CESM-4P card uses this predictable mapping to identify which of the four physical ports a channel number corresponds to without needing a separate table. For example, seeing channel 18 on a CESM-4P immediately tells the operator it belongs to physical port 3 per the fixed mapping.
