Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesChanPortNum

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.17

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This indicates to which logical port this connection belongs. Applicable on CESM-8T1/E1 or CESM-T3/E3. 1.. 248 for E1 1.. 192 for T1 1.. 1 for T3 Only applicable to CESM-8P

What is cesChanPortNum?

This read-write value assigns the CES channel to a specific logical port, with the valid range depending on line type: up to 248 for E1, up to 192 for T1, and only port 1 for T3, and this object applies only to the CESM-8P and CESM-T3/E3 card families rather than the 4-port variant. An administrator sets this when provisioning a new channel on an 8-port CESM card to bind it to the correct physical line's logical port. For example, assigning cesChanPortNum to 150 on an E1-based CESM-8P card places the channel on logical port 150, a value that would be out of range on a T1-based card limited to 192 ports.
