cesChanConnType

Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesChanConnType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This indicates the type of connection. 1 = PVC 2 = SVC 3 ==> SPVC connection

Only applicable to CESM-8P and CESM-T3/E3.

What is cesChanConnType?

This read-write value specifies whether this CES channel is provisioned as a permanent virtual circuit, a switched virtual circuit, or a soft PVC, and applies only to the CESM-8P and CESM-T3/E3 card families. An administrator sets this when provisioning a channel to determine whether it is a fixed, manually configured connection (PVC) or one that can be dynamically signalled or automatically re-established (SVC/SPVC) if the network reroutes it. For example, choosing spvc(3) lets the network automatically restore the circuit-emulation connection along an alternate path if the original route fails, whereas pvc(1) requires manual reconfiguration.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.18
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesChanConnType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.18.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::cesChanConnType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.3.2.1.1.1.18.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cesChanConnType.1
