bertControl
Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::bertControl
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.6.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object controls all the SET operations on this MIB group. acquireBert : Acquire BERT resources. cnfBert : Configure the required BERT test. startBert : The configured test has to be started. modBert : Modify parameters for the ongoing BERT test. delBert : Running BERT test has to be stopped. The above list shows the sequence in which the SET operations on this group need to be done, ideally. Bert can be operated upon only with bertUserId and bertSlotNumber. The default value is 0, means no action.
What is bertControl?
This read-write object drives the sequence of SET operations used to run a Bit Error Rate Test (BERT) on this Service Module: acquireBert reserves the BERT hardware resources, cnfBert configures the test parameters, startBert begins the configured test, and modBert changes parameters on a test already running. The described sequence must be followed in order, meaning this single object serves as the command channel for the entire BERT state machine on the card. An admin running a line-quality test on a T1/E1 port would issue acquireBert, then cnfBert with the desired pattern and medium, then startBert, using this same object for each step.
