Module: CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-WAN-AXIPOP-MIB::be
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.1.2.1.1.1.15
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The default value is 5100 be defines the burst excess. be can not be 0 when cir is 0. be is in bytes. The peak value for be in FRSM-VHS cards is (2^21 -1), i.e. 2097151 and for all other cards, it is 65535. For FRSM-VHS cards, setting the value of 2091751 will cause the policing to be disabled. For FRSM12 Card: The range is 0-2097151
What is be?
This read-write integer defines the Excess Burst size (be) in bytes, defaulting to 5100, and per its description cannot be 0 when cir is 0; its peak is 2,097,151 bytes on FRSM-VHS cards (also 0-2,097,151 on FRSM12) versus 65,535 bytes on other cards, and setting it to 2,091,751 on an FRSM-VHS card specifically disables policing altogether. An administrator adjusts be to control how much traffic beyond the committed burst (bc) is still allowed through before policing discards it. For example, setting be to exactly 2,091,751 on an FRSM-VHS connection is a documented way to effectively turn off policing for that channel rather than merely raising its burst tolerance.
