cvVoicePeerCfgCasGroup

Module: CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::cvVoicePeerCfgCasGroup

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.2.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CvCasGroup

Access: read-write

Description: The object specifies the CAS group number of a CAS capable T1/E1 that is in the dialCtlPeerCfgLowerIf object of RFC2128. This object can be set to a valid CAS group number only if the dialCtlPeerCfgLowerIf contains a valid ifIndex for a CAS capable T1/E1. The object must set to -1 before the value of the dialCtlPeerCfgLowerIf object of RFC2128 can be changed.

What is cvVoicePeerCfgCasGroup?

This is a read-write value specifying the CAS (Channel Associated Signaling) group number on a CAS-capable T1/E1 interface associated with this dial peer, and it must be set to -1 before the underlying interface reference can be changed. An admin configures this to bind a voice peer to a specific CAS group on a digital trunk, and understanding the reset-to-negative-one requirement is essential when reassigning a peer to a different T1/E1 interface. For example, an admin moving a peer from one T1 line to another would first need to set this object to -1 before changing the underlying interface reference.
