cvVoIPCallHistoryOctetAligned

Module: CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::cvVoIPCallHistoryOctetAligned

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.4.2.1.34

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-only

Description: If the object has a value true(1) octet align operation is used, and if the value is false(2), bandwidth efficient operation is used. This object is not instantiated when the object cvVoIPCallHistoryCoderTypeRate is not equal to gsmAmrNb enum.

What is cvVoIPCallHistoryOctetAligned?

This TruthValue object indicates whether the call used octet-aligned RTP payload operation (true) or bandwidth-efficient operation (false), and it is only instantiated when the negotiated coder is the AMR-NB codec (gsmAmrNb). Administrators troubleshooting AMR-NB calls use it to confirm which of the two RFC-defined payload framing modes was actually negotiated, since the two modes have different overhead and compatibility characteristics. For example, interoperability issues with a particular AMR-NB endpoint might trace back to a mismatch between this object's value and what that endpoint expects.
