cvVoIPCallHistoryGapFillWithRedundancy

Module: CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::cvVoIPCallHistoryGapFillWithRedundancy

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.4.2.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: AbsoluteCounter32

Access: read-only

Description: Duration of voice signal played out with signal synthesized from redundancy parameters available due to voice data not received on time (or lost) from voice gateway for this call. This counter object will lock at the maximum value which is approximately two days.

What is cvVoIPCallHistoryGapFillWithRedundancy?

This AbsoluteCounter32, in milliseconds, measures audio played out using signal reconstructed from redundancy parameters available when voice data was late or lost, and it locks at its two-day maximum value. Administrators look at it to confirm whether a redundancy-based loss recovery scheme (rather than prediction or interpolation) actually engaged during the call. For example, nonzero redundancy gap-fill time on a call would indicate the codec's redundant-data recovery path was actively compensating for packet loss on that leg.
