cvVoIPCallHistoryCallReferenceId

Module: CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::cvVoIPCallHistoryCallReferenceId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.4.2.1.47

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CvcCallReferenceIdOrZero

Access: read-only

Description: The call reference ID associates the video call entry and voice call entry of the same endpoint. An audio-only call may or may not have a valid call reference ID (i.e. value greater than zero), but in both cases, there will not be a video call entry associated with it.

For a video call, the video-specific information is stored in a call entry in cVideoSessionActive of CISCO-VIDEO-SESSION-MIB, in which the call reference ID is also identified.

What is cvVoIPCallHistoryCallReferenceId?

This CvcCallReferenceIdOrZero object associates a video call entry and a voice call entry belonging to the same endpoint's call, with a nonzero value indicating a linked video entry exists in the CISCO-VIDEO-SESSION-MIB's cVideoSessionActive table, while a purely audio call may or may not have a valid reference ID. Administrators use it to reconstruct the full audio-plus-video picture of a call rather than seeing only the voice leg in isolation. For example, on a video-enabled endpoint, an admin can use this reference ID to pull the matching video quality statistics from the video session MIB for the same call.
