Description: The negotiated coder rate. It specifies the transmit rate of voice/fax compression to its associated call leg for the call. This rate is different from the configuration rate because of rate negotiation during the call.
What is cvVoIPCallActiveCoderTypeRate?
This is a read-only value reporting the coder rate actually negotiated for voice/fax compression on this active VoIP call leg, which can differ from the peer's configured rate due to in-call negotiation with the far end. An admin checks this to see the true, currently-active codec for a live VoIP call rather than assuming the configured default applies. For example, if a peer is configured for a high-quality codec but calls keep negotiating down to a lower-quality one, checking this object across several active calls would reveal the pattern.
