cvPeerCfgIfIndex

Module: CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::cvPeerCfgIfIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.2.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InterfaceIndexOrZero

Access: read-only

Description: The ifIndex of the peer associated ifEntry. The ifIndex appears after the associated ifEntry is created successfully. This ifIndex will be used to access the objects in the Voice over Telephony or Voice over IP peer specific table. In addition, the ifIndex is also used to access the associated peer configuration entry of the IETF Dial Control MIB. If the peer associated ifEntry had not been created, then this object has a value of zero.

What is cvPeerCfgIfIndex?

This is a read-only value giving the ifIndex of the interface entry created for a voice dial peer, which is used to look up that peer's specific data in the Voice-over-Telephony or Voice-over-IP tables as well as in the IETF Dial Control MIB, and reads as zero if the peer's interface hasn't been created yet. An admin uses this to bridge from dial-peer configuration directly into standard interface statistics and dial-control tables for the same peer. For example, an admin wanting standard interface-style counters for a specific voice peer would use this ifIndex to look up the matching ifTable row.
