Description: This object indicates whether cvdcPoorQoVNotification (or the newer cvdcPoorQoVNotificationRev1) traps should be generated for a poor quality of voice calls.

If the value of this object is 'true', cvdcPoorQoVNotification (or the newer cvdcPoorQoVNotificationRev1) traps will be generated for all voice over IP peers when a poor quality of voice call condition is detected after the voice gateway call disconnection. If the value of this object is 'false', cvdcPoorQoVNotification (or the newer cvdcPoorQoVNotificationRev1) traps will be generated only for calls for which the cvVoIPPeerCfgPoorQoVNotificationEnable object of voice over IP peers having set to 'true'.

What is cvGeneralPoorQoVNotificationEnable?

This is a read-write true/false setting that turns on generation of poor-quality-of-voice traps, either cvdcPoorQoVNotification or its Rev1 successor, across all voice-over-IP peers on the gateway. An admin enables this to get proactively alerted whenever a call disconnects after having exhibited poor voice quality, rather than having to discover quality problems from user complaints. For example, a NOC monitoring dashboard could be wired to this trap so operators are notified in near real time when calls on a gateway are degrading in quality.
