cvGeneralFallbackNotificationEnable

Module: CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::cvGeneralFallbackNotificationEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates whether cvdcFallbackNotification traps should be generated for fallback. If the value of this object is 'true', cvdcFallbackNotification traps will be generated for all voice over IP peers.

What is cvGeneralFallbackNotificationEnable?

This is a read-write true/false setting that enables cvdcFallbackNotification traps to be generated across all voice-over-IP peers when a fallback condition occurs. An admin turns this on to be alerted automatically when calls fall back to an alternate mode, typically because network conditions no longer support the preferred call quality or path. For example, enabling this setting lets an admin get notified the moment VoIP peers on a gateway start falling back due to degraded IP network conditions, rather than only noticing after users complain.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::cvGeneralFallbackNotificationEnable

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB::cvGeneralFallbackNotificationEnable.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.1.2.1 s <value>
