vismXgcpPort

Module: CISCO-VISM-XGCP-EXT

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-XGCP-EXT::vismXgcpPort

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.5.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This object is used to configure the local UDP port on VISM used by the SGCP and MGCP protocols to communicate with the call agent.

The UDP port is used together with vismIpAddress to identify the local end of a SGCP/MGCP connection.

The default value of this object is 2427.

In VISM 1.5 this object always defaults to 2427 and is read-only.

What is vismXgcpPort?

This read-write Integer32 (1025-65535, default 2427) configures the local UDP port VISM uses with SGCP and MGCP to communicate with the call agent, working together with vismIpAddress to identify the local end of the SGCP/MGCP connection, and the MIB notes it is fixed and read-only in VISM 1.5. An admin cares because this port must match what the call agent expects to reach the gateway on, or signaling will fail to connect. For example, an operator running a version of VISM later than 1.5 that needs a nonstandard signaling port to avoid a firewall conflict would change this object away from the 2427 default.
