Module: CISCO-VISM-SESSION-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-SESSION-MIB::vismRudpSessionMaxOutOfSeq
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.11.3.1.19
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: This object is the maximum number of out of sequence packets that will be accumulated before an EACK(Extended acknowledgement) segment is sent. The EACK segment is used to acknowledge segments received out of sequence. A value of 0 indicates a EACK will be sent immediately if an out of order segment is received. This is a negotiable parameter between MGC and GW.
What is vismRudpSessionMaxOutOfSeq?
This read-write Integer32 (0-255) is the maximum number of out-of-sequence packets accumulated before an EACK (Extended Acknowledgement) segment is sent, where 0 means an EACK is sent immediately on any out-of-order segment, negotiated between MGC and gateway. An admin cares because this affects how quickly out-of-order delivery is reported back to the sender for retransmission decisions. For example, an operator on a path prone to packet reordering would lower this value so EACKs are sent sooner, speeding up recovery from reordered packets.
